CourseTitle: Web Design

Course Description:

Students will learn to create functional and well designed websites for the World Wide Web. Students may repeat this course and work on more complex projects in order to achieve intermediate to advanced levels of proficiency.

Course Prerequisite: Computer Art and Graphic Design

Student Learning Outcomes:

Students will learn:

1. How to create a simple website using HTML code and digital imagery.
2. How to create a personal or business website using a Web Design software program.
3. How to make a website user-friendly, well organized, and visually pleasing to look at.
3. How to get web hosting and a domain name.
4. How to use an FTP program to upload their websites to the internet so it can be seen online from any computer with internet access in the world.
